WELCOME! I’m maggie sALTIEL, lcsw, PMH-C

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Maggie & I’m a Colorado-based psychotherapist.

My approach as a therapist is relational and authentic. I like to keep it real in our sessions! And because of that, our relationship will be real and our sessions will be individualized. My promise is to listen compassionately and non-judgementally, to hold you in high regard, and to co-create a safe space for self-exploration with you.

I’m a firm believer in utilizing a person-centered and strengths-based approach- meaning, I strongly believe that you are more of an expert of your own experience and system than I (or any healthcare professional) ever could be. I like to approach therapy as a safe space to explore our feelings and patterns with curiosity and to return to our innate inner wisdom we have with more confidence. I feel honored and dedicated to hold space for whatever comes up during this process to be seen, held, and integrated.

I have ample specialized training in Trauma Healing and within the space of Reproductive & Perinatal Mental Health & Infant Mental Health (read more on the other pages of this website!). I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional by Postpartum Support International. I also have special interest and experience working with anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, gender & sexual identity, sexuality & embodiment, attachment, body image, and life transitions.

I utilize a mix of evidence-based practices in my sessions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Mindfulness methods. However, the bulk of my therapeutic framework is rooted in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR- meaning, I am always curious about the stories your nervous system is telling and how your experiences have shaped these stories.

I am LGBTQ+ affirming and identify as part of the queer community. I’m also half Cuban-American and speak Spanish as a second language. I love working with others who have mixed identities and backgrounds and holding space for how culture, identity, and background have shaped you.

I love working with clients who:

  • have been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, scared, and/or not like themselves lately

  • are having thoughts that feel scary to them

  • have ever been told they are too much or too sensitive

  • are struggling to process recent or past events

  • are struggling with feeling stuck in patterns and triggers that no longer serve them

  • are having a hard time stepping into a new identity

  • are in the throws of a reproductive journey

  • are about to be first time parents and feeling anxious

  • are feeling triggered by their own childhood wounds as they parent their littles

  • have been to therapy before, are ready and wanting to dive in, but have found traditional talk therapy methods to be limiting or lackluster in results

My clients enjoy coming back for sessions because of the authentic human-to-human relationship we have together. Let’s co-create a home for healing together- reach out to get started!
